Geoff Bowden (Editor of the British Museum Hall Society’s journal; The Call Boy) takes a look back at some of Britain’s female comic talents from the worlds of variety and revue. Recalling such names as Beryl Reid, Hylda Baker, Joyce Grenfell, Elsie and Doric Waters, Gracie Fields, Joan Turner, Gladys Morgan, June Whitfield, Hattie Jacques and many more. An afternoon of nostalgia and laughs.

Tuesday talks take place in the Granary Learning Centre at Headstone Manor.

Tickets are £4 per person.
