Headstone Horrors Halloween Spooktacular returns!


Celebrate Halloween in style with our annual, family friendly, Halloween Spooktacular event inside our 500-year-old Great Barn! A perfect trick-or-treat alternative for children aged 1-11 years.

Come along and enjoy an array of FREE themed children’s activities including Spooky Storytelling, Meet a Friendly Ghost, Potty Potion Brewing, Creative Crafts, Headstone Trail Hunt and plenty more. It will be a barrel of laughs (or squeals)!

New for 2018, Are you brave enough to take a spooky guided tour of the 14th century Manor House and brand-new museum? (Suitable for ages 7+)

Delicious hot food, drinks and sweet treats will be available plus many other themed activities (at a small charge). Finally, why not embrace the spooky spirit and attend in fancy dress to receive a free edible eye ball on entry!

Entry is only £2 per person (free entry for children under 12 months) gates open at 12pm and the event will finish at 5pm. Parking is available but is limited so please try to travel using alternative public transport.

Nothing says bank holiday like a magnificent village fair – especially in the beautiful historic grounds of Headstone Manor & Museum! This August Bank Holiday you are cordially invited to the great annual Headstone Village Show – guaranteed to make the holiday unforgettable for the whole family!

Headstone Village show welcomes back Harrow in LEAF to present their 14th Annual Horticultural & Craft Show along with Harrow Beekeepers. Explore the show’s diverse and remarkable entries, culminating in an exciting award ceremony to round off the day.

Wonder across the beautiful grounds of Headstone Manor and discover an array of brilliant FREE entertainment for the whole family such as a magic show, children’s circus workshop, a classic car show, a petting farm, fairground games, live music and donkey riding! There really is something for everyone!

Nurture your creativity with a variety of artisan arts and craft stalls, face painting and FREEcraft activities for children! If after all the excitement you find yourself a little peckish be sure to make the most of the delicious food and drink available including (new for 2018) a fully stocked bar of summery beers, ciders and wines.

So make this August Bank Holiday the best yet and head down to Headstone Manor & Museum for a day of unforgettable FUN!

May Day Festival returns to the newly restored Headstone Manor & Museum!


Come down to Headstone Manor & Museum and enjoy a day of fabulous family fun including a Punch and Judy puppet show, Reptile Displays and lots of Children’s activities. Experience traditional Morris Dancing, professional Maypole dancing lessons, craft activities and captivating performances by local musical talent. All of which are free and included in the ticket price!

Between the busy programme of activities, treat yourself to homemade cakes, specialty foods, handmade crafts and gifts from the many market stalls that will be there on the day. Meet people from the local community of Harrow and find out more about what they do and how you can get involved.

Explore the rest of the heritage site and discover the brand new Museum, Bouncy Castles, Face Painting and a Classic Car Show. There are plenty of ways to keep you and your family busy for the whole afternoon!

Headstone Manor & Museum has been awarded £3.6 million by the Heritage Lottery Fund.





Alongside £1m from Harrow Council, and £270,000 from the John Lyon’s Charity, this funding will totally transform this historic site. The new museum in the restored Manor House will open in Summer 2017. The Small Barn & Granary will house exciting new displays and events. A new cafe will be built with views of the Moat. Beautiful gardens will be created and the landscape will be revitalised.
