Are you looking for something fun and relaxing to try? Something creative and inspiring?
During the day we will be designing and making a fused glass dish or vase. We will have plenty of time to play with colour and shape, creating lovely items that you will love and cherish. We will be creating pieces that use different techniques in glass fusing and, depending on the size and complexity of your designs there may be the opportunity to create a second piece.
You will learn how to cut and shape glass to make designs for useful and decorative items.
You will learn:
• To make a design pattern considering colours and shapes
• To cut glass into desired shapes
• To understand the difference between Full fuse, Tack fuse and slump and bring these techniques into your design
• To be able translate a 2D idea into a 3D design
Those who already have knowledge of the basic skills will have the opportunity to improve their technique, increasing their confidence in designing their own work.
This course is for anyone who has an interest in glass techniques and/or beginners looking for a new creative hobby that is both rewarding and therapeutic. No previous knowledge and experience needed.
During the course, I will provide small group demonstrations and individual support to ensure that learners can work at their own level and at their own pace.
Please note, this is a repeat of last years Fused Glass Workshop.
