Join us for a relaxed drop-in object-handling workshop exploring Somali heritage through everyday items and traditional attire. This hands-on morning session invites participants to engage with a range of handmade objects, including milk vessels, sleeping mats and headrests, woven baskets, carved wooden items, clothing, and jewellery.

Through touching, handling, and talking about these objects, the session opens conversations about shared heritage, changing traditions, and how people celebrate identity within their communities. While many of these items are no longer used in daily life in the Somali Community today, they offer a powerful way to connect past and present, and to learn more about the people we live alongside.
