Mini Museum: Tudor Easter at the Manor
Details
Join us for a delightful hands-on session where history comes to life! Children and their adults will step into the Tudor world of Headstone Manor to discover how people prepared for Easter long ago. Families will help “clean” the Manor using old-style washing equipment to scrub cloths and dolls’ clothes, then hang them to dry in the fresh spring air. Create beautiful Easter eggs using wax-resist and natural dyes, and enjoy a gentle storytelling moment with the “Lord of the Manor” about sharing and kindness.
Perfect for curious little ones aged 3–5, this session combines history, creativity, and imagination in one memorable museum morning.
Deborah is Headstone Manor Museum’s Mini Museum Facilitator and has been part of the team for nearly four years. Drawing on more than a decade of experience in Early Years education and her background as a Forest School leader, she delivers immersive, creative sessions that celebrate both the natural world and the Manor’s unique history. Known for her friendly and practical approach, Deborah brings stories to life through sensory play, craft, and exploration — often accompanied by Bill the Mallard Duck, her beloved storytelling companion.
