Stained Glass Workshop
Details
During the day we will be making a small stained glass panel that you will be able to take home. We will have plenty of time to play with colour and shape, creating lovely items that you will cherish. With my guidance you will learn how to cut and shape glass to make designs for useful and decorative items. You will be introduced to the art of stained glass, learning the basic techniques required to make a small stained glass panel. The size has been chosen to enable completion during the course. You will be able to chose form a range of designs or you can choose to make your own design based on around 5/6 pieces. You will learn:
• To make a pattern or cartoon
• To cut glass into desired shapes
• To cut and fit lead to the glass
• To finish off the panel
Those who already have knowledge of the basic skills will have the opportunity to improve their technique, increasing their confidence in designing their own work.
This course is for anyone who has an interest in glass techniques and/or beginners looking for a new creative hobby that is both rewarding and therapeutic. No previous knowledge and experience needed.

Learn Harrow is also trialling a new Progress Portal this term, where you can see your workshop dates, times, and content all in one place. Once enrolled, you’ll simply be asked to pick a few learning goals before your session(s) which will help the tutor plan accordingly. This process secures your place and ensures we can continue to run events like this in the future.
