This workshop is for nature lovers and those who would like to use stitch in both conventional and challenging ways. We will create a Joy of Nature stitched panel that can be displayed in a frame when finished. You will learn the art of decoupage, how to use stitch and embellishing with fabric, paper and found pieces of nature. Sian will also show you how to consider colour palette, design, composition and stitch in your work and give advice on how to frame your artwork after the workshop.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and those more experienced to help build confidence in creating art with unusual materials. Don’t worry Sian shall take you through every step and demonstrate along the way, there will be lots of samples of her work to inspire you too. She will encourage you to experiment and think outside the box finding unique ways to attach your nature pieces to your artwork.
All materials will be provided including needles and thread, fabrics and even nature! Workshop includes 30 minutes lunch break!
