Book Now

Join The Old Operating Theatre as they demonstrate Victorian surgical operations and run object handling sessions. Find out how surgery happened before the introduction of anaesthesia and antiseptics.

Throughout the day, staff from the Old Operating Theatre will be talking through how operations were carried out during the Victorian era, explaining the history of their space in the attic of an early 18th Century church, and giving visitors the chance to handle historic medical objects.
