Mini Museum: Fairies and Folklore at the Manor
Details
Step into a world of Tudor legends this June at Headstone Manor. Long ago, people believed that mysterious “fair folk” and woodland spirits lived close to nature — in gardens, under trees, and near old houses like the Manor itself.
In this playful outdoor session, families will head into the gardens for a hidden house hunt before creating their own miniature folklore garden using natural materials. Along the way, we’ll explore how Tudor people used stories to explain strange sounds, missing objects, and the magic of the changing seasons.
Designed especially for under 5s and their grown-ups, Mini Museum sessions are hands-on, imaginative, and rooted in the land and history of Headstone Manor.
This event is partially funded by Learn Harrow. To take part, you’ll need to enrol with them in advance – we’ll send you instructions via email.
Learn Harrow is trialling a new Milestep platform this term for adult workshops, where you can see your workshop dates, times, and content all in one place. To secure your place, you'll need to register and set out your learning goals ahead of the session, tutors will then provide feedback against these goals, which is a funding requirement and helps us continue running events like this in future. If you need any support with this you can contact Learn Harrow Monday to Friday 10 am - 3pm on 0208 204 3567 or learnharrow@harrow.gov.uk.
We’d love your feedback on this process to share with Learn Harrow. If you have any questions, just drop us an email at education@headstonemanor.org
