Join our 8-session museum adventure course for 2 to 5's to explore heritage through play, storytelling and creativity, combining hands-on activities, movement and crafts, culminating with a celebration showcasing what your little ones have discovered. The course aims to support early learning.
What to expect:
Part 1: My Home, Your Home, Manor Home (September & October)
This autumn, little explorers will discover what makes a house a home through stories, creative play, building activities and sensory exploration inspired by the historic Headstone Manor. Together we'll compare homes past and present, meet the people who once lived here and create our own miniature manor houses.
Themes include:
- What is a home?
- Families then and now
- Big houses and little houses
- Exploring Headstone Manor
Come and discover the stories hidden inside one of Harrow's oldest homes. Perfect for children aged 2–5 and their grown-ups.
Part 2: Around the Moat (November & December)
Splash into history this autumn as we explore one of Headstone Manor's most fascinating features – its moat. Through water play, storytelling, nature discovery and creative activities, children will investigate who lives in and around the moat, build mini bridges, explore habitats and set off on their own moat adventures. Designed especially for toddlers and preschoolers, these sessions encourage curiosity, imagination and confidence while introducing children to the unique history and wildlife of Headstone Manor.
