Are you looking for something fun and relaxing to try? Something creative and inspiring?

In this day-long coursewe  will be learning how to design and make a fused glass dish or vase. We will have plenty of time to play with colour and shape, creating lovely items that you will love and cherish. Depending on the size and complexity of your design there may be the opportunity to create a second piece.

You will be introduced to the art of stained glass, learning the basic techniques required to make a small stained glass suncatcher. The size has been chosen to enable completion during the course. You will be able to choose from a range of designs or you can choose to make your own design based on around 5/6 pieces.

You will learn:
• To make a design pattern considering colours and shapes
• To cut glass into desired shapes
• To understand the difference between Full fuse, Tack fuse and slump and bring these techniques into your design
• To be able translate a 2D idea into a 3D design

This workshop is presented with funding support from Learn Harrow. You will be required to register with Learn Harrow to take part in this workshop – instructions will follow in a separate email. It is really important you register as future funding for similar events depends on it.
