Glass Suncatchers Workshop

Sunday 1st October, 10am

Book Now

Are you looking for something fun and relaxing to try? Something creative and inspiring?

During this day-long workshop we will be making a stained glass suncatcher using the copperfoil technique also known as the Tiffany technique. We will have plenty of time to play with colour and shape, creating lovely items that you will be able to take home and cherish.

You will be introduced to the art of stained glass, learning the basic techniques required to make a small stained glass suncatcher. You will be able to choose from a range of designs or you can choose to make your own design based on around 5/6 pieces.

You will learn:
• To make a pattern or cartoon
• To cut glass into desired shapes
• To wrap each piece with copperfoil and solder the pieces together
• To finish off the suncatcher with patina and polish
Those who already have knowledge of the basic skills will have the opportunity to improve their technique, increasing their confidence in designing their own work.

This workshop is for anyone who has an interest in glass techniques and/or beginners looking for a new creative hobby that is both rewarding and therapeutic.

This workshop is presented with funding support from Learn Harrow. You will be required to register with Learn Harrow to take part in this workshop – instructions will follow in a separate email. It is really important you register as future funding for similar events depends on it.
