Marking Independence

19th July – 30th October

To mark South Asian Heritage Month and the 75th anniversary of India’s independence to celebrate the borough’s diverse community.

This is a co-curated exhibition with Harrow Resident and Photographer, Mala Vadgama. The photography and poetry in the exhibition explores the vastness of the term ‘Independence’ and what it means to various key people living in Harrow. It explores the internal journeys alongside the outward ones.

There are also community stories from Headstone Manor & Museum’s collections and an artwork pop-up (dates TBC) by local artist, Ketna Patel.
