Hendon in NW London (now known as Colindale) was once synonymous with flying. The RAF Museum sits on a small portion of the 207-acre site that was The London Aerodrome. In the years before, during and immediately after the First World War, aviation pioneer and entrepreneur Claude Grahame-White and the London Aerodrome that he established were pivotal in early days of aviation in Britain.

About the Speaker:
Eclectic Tours is led by Colindale resident Lisa Lu. Holder of a Golden Key Badge as a trained tour guide from Open City/Open House London, Lisa is an American with a MA in Shakespeare Studies from King’s College London in conjunction with Shakespeare’s Globe theatre. She has lived in London for 14 years.
